It's also a pretty big world, which makes it hard to start somewhere. That's what this blog is all about. Visit every day for a new way to easily take action, learn about issues affecting your world, and find resources to help you do so. It's a lot easier than you think.

Support Clean Energy

Published by pheo152 at 10:29 am under Environment Edit This

Are you as scared as I am about your kids not breathing in clean air as they grow up? Hell, are you worried about YOURSELF coughing up a lung from a smog-induced coughing fit? Do warm winters make your head spin? (Yes, I know not everyone loves a white Christmas like I do, but it just ain’t natural for 80 degree weather in February in the Midwest, folks!) Do you ache for more solar power, wind power, and other forms of renewable energy? Do you think America needs more green jobs (or just more jobs period!)?

If so, come on over to the League of Conservation Voter’s website and sign the “Repower, Refuel and Rebuild America” Petition that’s asking for President Elect Obama to take on energy within his first 100 days of office.

Do you have other ideas for what Obama should do during his first 100 days in office? Alternet, one of my favorite news sources, is having a “100 Words for 100 Days” essay contest for you to write about those ideas. They’ll be posting the best ones on their site. Learn more here, or submit your essay to 100@alternet.org.
